🔍 5 ways Evernote Search is now better than ever
Evernote Search recently got a major revamp to bring you better suggestions, more relevant results, and a smoother overall search experience. Here’s what we’ve been working on:
🔍 A refreshed search modal:
🔹 Centered pop-up. Starting a search query now opens a centered pop-up window to give more space and visibility to your suggested content.
🔹 Scrollable suggestions. You can now see all of your suggested results via a scrollable list directly in the modal.
🔹 Priority for title matches. Search suggestions now give higher priority to notes, notebooks, stacks, spaces, and tags with titles that match your search query.
🔹 Clearer categories in the default state. You can quickly scan content at a glance via four helpful categories: Recent searches, Saved searches, Recent notes (grouped by when they were last updated), and Filters.
⚡ Smarter and faster suggestions while typing. As you type in the search modal, suggestions appear faster than ever—not just notes, but also notebooks, stacks, spaces, and tags.
⌨️ Easier note sharing. Copy a link to a note directly from the search modal, without needing to open the note fully. Just hover (or arrow-key) over a note and press CMD+L
/ CTRL+L
to instantly copy its link.
♾️ Infinite results. Search results are no longer limited to 128 entries. You’ll now see all relevant results every time.
📍 Targeted matches in-note. When opening a note from your search results, you’ll now land directly on the first matching term. Pro tip: Use quotes (””) around your search terms for more exact results.
All these changes add up to a faster, smarter, more seamless experience—make sure to download the latest Desktop version to take advantage of the recent improvements.
Happy searching! 💚
