When we launched the Suggest feature option in February, we never imagined it would be so popular!

With so many inbound requests, we went back to the drawing board looking for a way to make sharing your suggestions even easier. Now, we're happy to introduce an official new Evernote form, built specifically for you to tell us what you’d love to see next in Evernote.

We'll be closing the Suggest feature option on this page, but rest assured we've backed up all your previous submissions and votes and will consider them in our product roadmap. Thank you everyone who has already contributed!

In April, we introduced several performance improvements to note loading, opening, and creation on iOS and Android, plus a snappier Notebook list experience on Desktop. 

We also added handy new actions like the option to request note access and quickly undo a note move. Finally, we increased the size of AI transcription files to 100mb—perfect for hour-long meetings or lectures.

It happens all the time: Someone sends you a note link but forgets to share it with you beforehand, meaning you’re left looking at a blank screen. Now, you can prompt them to assign you the correct permissions with just one click!

Simply press ‘Request access’ to ping the original sender via email. Once they update your access, you’ll get an email notification that your permissions have been updated.

From there, use the original link or find the shared content in the ‘Shared with me’ section of your app.

Now, you can transcribe audio and video files that are up to 1 hour / 100MB—perfect for converting long meetings, lecture, or podcasts into editable and searchable text.

As a reminder, AI Transcribe works within Evernote or with our standalone tool, and can be used with the following common file formats:

🎧 Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, MPGA, WEBM
📹 Video: MP4, MOV, MPEG
🖼️ Images: JPG, PNG, GIF

Here’s how we achieved this result:

Before, every time you opened the notebook list, Evernote would run multiple queries—in this case, we were processing a whopping 21 requests each time! 

By migrating the entire process to a single query, we not only halved loading time, but we also saw a 50% reduction in the CPUs needed to load the list. As a result, your notebook list is smoother and faster to navigate than ever before.

Make sure you're using v10.130 or higher on Desktop to experience the speed improvements for yourself. Plus, keep an eye out for similar improvements coming soon to Mobile. 👀

Exciting news! Our new AI Edit feature helps you transform your content into engaging social media posts effortlessly. 📱💻 Just select your text, hit AI Edit > Write As > Social media post, and voilà! Not happy with the suggestion? Just hit "regenerate" for more options. 🎉 Available now on Evernote in v10.134.

Our Performance Squad has been hard at work speeding things up in Evernote Mobile—and the results speak for themselves:

📱iOS: 96.5% of users load the editor in under 1 second (up from 76%)
🤖Android: 97% of users load the editor in under 2 seconds (up from 69%)

We also made the process of opening and creating notes in Android faster for a much larger portion of the user base (+23% and +15% respectively!).

Here's how we achieved these great results:
🔹To see a note, the Evernote mobile app needs to load it inside the note editor.
🔹Before, the note editor was re-loaded every time a different note was opened.
🔹Now, the note editor is loaded in the background when the app starts, and is used for all the notes opened and created thereafter.

Make sure you’re using v.10.133 or higher on your Mobile device to take advantage of these improvements. We hope to bring you an even faster experience soon!

These includes a new commenting feature that allows you to leave comments on shared notes and several customization improvements, such as customizable daily note templates and settings.
